Teen Money Club: Finance 101: Black History Month Event
OVERVIEW
Frost STEAM Labs has partnered with financial coach and entrepreneur, Taryn McNamee to launch our Teen Money Club: Finance 101 Black History Month Event.
This is a live, interactive financial literacy workshop targeted at teens ages 15 and older and their parents. Students will receive tips on planning for their future and minimizing debt.
This event will cover the following topics:
Money Tracking
Goal Setting
Budgeting
Interest Rates
Credit Scores
Paying for College

Instructor: Taryn McNamee
Taryn McNamee is the CEO and founder of Money Honey, LLC. As a Financial Coach, she teaches ambitious female CEOs how to go from rich to wealthy through mindset healing, healthy money habit development, and wealth growth strategies. She graduated from the University of Southern California with her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration concentrating in Entrepreneurship and Management.
Taryn has been an entrepreneur for over 8 years and serves as a mentor to aspiring entrepreneurs. She’s a passionate community leader involved in Sickle Cell Advocacy, Gamma Sigma Alpha National Honor Society, National Association of Parliamentarians, and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. where Taryn currently serves on the International Board as the Undergraduate Chapter Coordinator for the Western Region. She is grateful that entrepreneurship allows her to live the life of her dreams with her husband Jordan and rescue pup Tetris.
Instructor: Ronnie Frost
Ronnie Frost is the CEO and founder of Frost STEAM Labs LLC. She is a digital literacy advocate with over 15 years in the information technology field, working primarily in web and mobile engineering. Ronnie has spent years as a tech instructor for various STEAM programs such as Black Girls Code and Girls Who Code. The companies she has worked for include Activision and Cedars Sinai.
At Activision, Ronnie worked with displaying Call of Duty game data in the Call of Duty mobile application. That work inspired Ronnie to help youth learn to code by creating games.
