Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority YOUTH SYMPOSIUM 2025

The Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Alumnae Chapters of Pomona Valley, Santa Monica, and Compton proudly take Youth Symposium on the road! Join us at “Black Girl Brilliance II - Education Beyond the Classroom” on Saturday, March 29, 2025 10 am - 2 pm at the Seeds of Joy Community Garden in Ontario, CA.

This event for Female students ages 11-18 years old will be held in a one of a kind outdoor setting and will provide participants with activities and interactive workshops that are impactful, practical, empowering and fun!  

Attendees will be inspired by event keynote speaker April Showers, pioneering entrepreneur and Founder of Afro Unicorn, the first black woman-owned fully licensed character brand in major retail.

Join Frost Equity at City of STEM

Join Frost Equity Initiative at the City of STEM! April 12th, 2025, 9am-4pm at Exposition Park!

We have an exciting announcement! We are so proud to say that the City of STEM and the City of STEM + Los Angeles Maker Faire were designated the Official Science Festival of Los Angeles County! The Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County made the announcement on January 14 recognizing the month-long initiative that brings STEM activities across the region. Since launching in 2015, City of STEM has grown from our home at the Columbia Memorial Space Center in Downey, to joining forces with Los Angeles Public Library, to being the biggest science program in SoCal. We’re honored to be tagged as THE science festival of Los Angeles!

This is a FREE public event held annually in April and hosted by Los Angeles Public Library and Columbia Memorial Space Center. Come join us at our new location in EXPO Park!

Frost Equity - Robotics Program Pilot

Young innovators can dive into the world of robotics, coding, and engineering! Designed for kids of all ages, this engaging event gives students a chance to build, program, and interact with cutting-edge robotic technology in a fun and educational setting.

Parents, this is the perfect opportunity to see firsthand how STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) can spark creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork in your child. Watch live demonstrations, participate in interactive challenges, and learn how robotics can inspire the next generation of inventors and engineers.
