Frost STEAM Labs’ mission is to bridge the digital divide and promote STEAM equity. We predominantly serve students in economically challenged communities.
We are seeking energetic technical instructors to teach youth computer science basics using block-style and text-based coding. The students will learn how to build games using tools such as Scratch, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The instructor is responsible for implementing Frost STEAM Labs curriculum and tailoring instruction to the goals, interests, and aptitude of our students. Preferred availability would be Monday through Friday afternoons, between 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Pacific Time. Hours vary depending on the client or programs currently active.

Additionally, a health questionnaire and TB clearance may be required for in-person assignments.

Requirements:
Completed at least one programming course.
Experience or desire to work with elementary-aged students.
Ability to reliably commute to work.
Familiarity with presentation software.
Ability to self-teach new technologies.
The technical instructor will be scheduled up to 8 hours per week which includes:
Arrive to classes early and prepared.
Provide engaging live instruction and/or technical assistance.
Create and update course materials and coding exercises.
Provide technical support as needed.
A background check is required.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
