Frost STEAM Labs Founder, Ronnie Frost, speaks to Teens at LA Studios
Ronnie Frost stopped in to discuss her experience working as a senior software engineer with Activision Blizzard for a group of students visiting LA Studios for a sound recording day which involved performing video game character voices and working with an award-winning sound studio.
While working at Activision Blizzard, Ronnie supported titles such as Call of Duty, where she created solutions for the web, mobile and Alexa app using in-game data. Ronnie discussed the different jobs available in software engineering and how the student’s classwork relates to the various subjects.
“Inspiring youth is my passion. I was bombarded with such insightful questions and one of the students ran up to catch up with me when he saw I was leaving. Working in STEM can have its challenges. However, it is great to reenergize by going to these types of events”, says Frost.
The event was coordinated by Blizzard, A New Day Foundation (founded by actress Dawnn Lewis) and LA Studios.
